Lufkin ISD students competed with 16 projects at the Regional Science Fair, representing Lufkin High School (6) and Lufkin Middle School (10). Five projects are advancing to the Texas State Science Fair at Texas A&M at the end of March.
Advancing to State:
Reid Bassin and Aria Nunn – Build and Design an AquaPure UV-C for the Purpose to Eliminate the Coliform Bacteria in agricultural water Sources for Livestock Consumption
Corinne Savage and Gaby Moran – Effects of Catharanthus roseus on Saccharomyces cerevisiae, yeast, to demonstrate if the chemical compounds of vinblastine and vincristine impact inhibition of cell proliferation
Cooper Camp – AI-Based Visual Analysis for Property Condition Assessment
