Slack Elementary

Slack Elementary, home of the Stallions, serves students in grades 3–5 in Lufkin ISD. Built in 1964 and named in honor of the Slack family, A.C. and Paula Slack, who generously donated the land for the campus. Slack provides strong traditional academic instruction, Dual Language and Bilingual programs, and serves as a Regional Day School Program for the Deaf site for students in grades 3–5, ensuring learners grow, achieve, and excel in an inclusive and empowering environment.
