Hackney School, built in 1936 and named after educator Olivia R. Hackney, serves as Lufkin ISD’s alternative education hub. Hackney Learning Center is a non-traditional academic campus providing flexible-paced curriculum options for secondary students, as well as the district’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), offering a structured and supportive environment focused on personal growth, academic progress, and a successful return to students’ home campuses.
