Attention Parents!

Absence Notes:
Please remember that absence notes must be submitted within five (5) days of your student’s return to campus.

Effective immediately, Lufkin ISD will be enforcing the guideline requiring parents/guardians to submit all absence notifications within five school days of the student’s return to campus. Timely submission supports accurate attendance documentation and helps the district maintain compliance with established procedures. We appreciate your support in this process. Please watch our website for more information on new options for submitting attendance notes electronically.

Remind Notifications

Not receiving Remind notifications? Let’s make sure your contact information is up to date in Skyward.

If you are not receiving text or email notifications when your child is absent, please check the following in Skyward:

  • Your cell phone number is listed as your primary phone number

  • Your email address is current and correct

  • You have not opted out of receiving messages

If any information needs to be updated, please contact your child’s campus for assistance.

Another possible reason you may not be receiving messages is that you previously opted out of Remind notifications.
