Lufkin Independent School District is proud to celebrate six outstanding educators who were recently honored, in January, at the Region 7 Education Service Center National Board Teacher Certification Luncheon. During the event, each teacher was formally pinned and recognized for earning their certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, one of the highest achievements in the teaching profession.
This year, Lufkin ISD had the largest number of teachers in Region 7 to accomplish National Board Certification, a testament to the district’s commitment to instructional excellence and continuous professional growth. Achieving this distinction requires dedication, reflection, and a deep commitment to student success, and these six educators exemplify those qualities.
Lufkin ISD is especially proud to offer its own National Board cohort, designed to support and guide teachers throughout the rigorous certification process. Through collaboration, mentorship, and structured support, the cohort empowers educators to pursue this prestigious credential while continuing to make a meaningful impact in their classrooms.
We are incredibly proud of these six remarkable women and the dedication, perseverance, and passion they bring to their profession each day. Their achievement not only reflects their individual excellence, but also the strength of our district as a whole. They inspire their colleagues, their students, and our entire Lufkin ISD community.
The Six National Board Certified Teachers from Lufkin ISD are as follows:
