The Lufkin ISD Office of Innovation leads the district’s efforts to design, launch, and sustain high-quality school models that expand options for students and families. Grounded in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement, the Office oversees strategic initiatives such as new choice programs, performance management, and long-term planning aligned to the district’s North Star Goal.

 

Our work is closely aligned with the Texas Education Agency’s System of Great Schools (SGS) framework, which guides districts in developing a strong portfolio of schools, improving access to high-quality seats, and ensuring equitable opportunities for all students. Through SGS practices, like rigorous campus design, stakeholder engagement, data transparency, and strategic school improvement, the Office of Innovation helps Lufkin ISD build modern, student-centered learning environments that meet the needs of our community today and for generations to come.
