Lufkin United Against Violence would like to invite all to a week of festivities with a revival at Louis Bronaugh Park. There will be speakers and singing at the park Monday through Friday starting at 7 each night.

Brandon Elementary Book Character Drive-thru Parade
Literacy is fun when it comes to life. The students at Brandon Elementary dressed up like characters from books they’ve read and waved at passersby at an outdoor parade.

Mask mandate suspended at Lufkin ISD

Lufkin ISD reinstating mask mandate for staff and students
Beginning on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Lufkin ISD will return to a mask mandate for all staff and students from grades Pre-K to 12.

Per Nacogdoches ISD: No football ticket sales to general public and no purchase of tickets at the gate Friday night
Tickets will only be available for purchase by students participating/competing (football team, band, drill, cheer) for family members.

Board approves budget, tax rate and Covid-19 employee incentives at special called meeting
The Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees met for a special called meeting Thursday night to approve the 2021-2022 budget and proposed tax rate. The board also discussed and approved incentives for employees relating to Covid-19.
