Lufkin United Against Violence would like to invite all to a week of festivities with a revival at Louis Bronaugh Park. There will be speakers and singing at the park Monday through Friday starting at 7 each night.

Literacy is fun when it comes to life. The students at Brandon Elementary dressed up like characters from books they’ve read and waved at passersby at an outdoor parade.

This is a great accomplishment and is a result of these students hard work and dedication,  as well as Lufkin High School commitment to preparing our students to be college and career ready,” said Dr. Andre Emmons, Lufkin High School Principal.

The annual Run of the Panthers gives students in primary and elementary the chance to compete against each other in a one-mile race. Congratulations to all who participated and thanks to Woodland Heights Medical Center for sponsoring this event!

“As promised, we have reviewed our Covid-19 dashboard data after 45 school days and with recommendation from local pediatrician Dr. Jeff Glass, we will suspend the mask mandate if our staff and/or student Covid-19 positive cases are below 75 for the previous ten consecutive school days,” said Torres

Students were transfixed when they came on campus today to find that their school was transformed into a Fall wonderland. Dunbar Primary participated in the Rock Your School event that makes learning and teaching fun with a day of themed activities.

Child nutrition staff, students, parents, teachers and administrators register to attend the food show and tasting on October 19.

Lufkin ISD has received a federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant in the amount of 7.5 million to be utilized over five years

Beginning on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Lufkin ISD will return to a mask mandate for all staff and students from grades Pre-K to 12.

Tickets will only be available for purchase by students participating/competing (football team, band, drill, cheer) for family members.
