Four LHS students will compete at the BPA State Leadership Conference
Four LHS students will compete at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas in March. The students recently competed at the regional level securing spots to the state conference.

Nurse Walker receives Purple Heart of Excellence Award for February
Excellence Award for February was awarded to Nurse Glenda Walker. The award is given monthly to a nurse who has demonstrated extraordinary care of students, detailed records, problem-solving skills among other life-saving skills.

Pam Clark is all too familiar with the 20th of the month, mainly because she has been the Payroll/Benefits Supervisor for the school district for 21 years. Three LHS student musicians head to All-State performance
Over 72,900 students initially entered the All-State competitive process, and 1,780 students are selected to perform in 15 All-State ensembles (bands, orchestras, and choirs). Among those selected were three students from Lufkin High School.

The state accounting team was recognized with a flag on LHS Main Street hallway. The flag is now hanging among the other state recognition flags. Currently, it is the only banner for academic accomplishment but hopefully not for long.
