The city of Lufkin will host a community pep rally to honor the Lufkin team that captured the nation’s hearts by becoming Little League World Series national champions this past weekend in historic Williamsport, Penn.
The pep rally is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the George H. Henderson Jr. Exposition Center on Lufkin’s north loop.
Here are photos from the team’s Little League World Series international championship game against Japan on Sunday.
