Lufkin Middle School and Communities In School (CIS) sponsored a Black History essay/art contest for Lufkin Middle School students in honor of Black History Month.

Third grade teacher Angela Duncan is surprised as H-E-B Excellence in Education Award finalist
The H-E-B team brought in balloons, a tray of cookies and a giant check for $1,000 for Mrs. Duncan and $1,000 for her school.
