The Purchasing Department is responsible for providing fair and accurate purchasing guidelines and procedures to the public for projects, goods and services for the district. The department issues bid/proposal and quotation solicitations as needed and all while ensuring compliance with purchasing laws, statutes and policies related to public school districts.

Interactive Panel Displays/HoverCam 8 Plus (Closing date — 2 p.m. Sept. 30, 2021)
  • Addendum 001 — Extension of deadline for Request for Proposal (RFP) for Interactive Screens and Hovercams: The extension of the RFP closing deadline of September 30 is due to a cyber security threat to the Lufkin ISD business and internet systems on Sept. 25, 2021.
    This may have caused emailed questions, related to the RFP, from being answered by Lufkin ISD staff.
    Therefore, Lufkin ISD will extend the closing deadline to noon CST Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021.
    All questions will be accepted by calling Bonnie Alsbrooks at 936-630-7325 on weekdays between 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. CDT, emails cannot be accepted. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED.
    If you have already submitted your proposal, we will hold and open it at the new closing date of Oct. 5, 2021, at noon. If you wish to replace your proposal based on the additional time allotted, you may resubmit a new proposal by the new deadline. We will replace the proposal received by the original closing date and time. Please note: You may REPLACE your proposal NOT amend your proposal.
