Lufkin Middle School and Communities In School (CIS) sponsored a Black History essay/art contest for Lufkin Middle School students in honor of Black History Month.

“The FFA program and showing/raising livestock shape our citizens of tomorrow by building confidence, character, passion, and desire to succeed,” said Kellye Marshall, Lufkin FFA Ag Science Teacher.

The H-E-B team brought in balloons, a tray of cookies and a giant check for $1,000 for Mrs. Duncan and $1,000 for her school.

Students at Brandon Elementary performed Thursday night and two performances Saturday to an audience of family, friends, students and staff. Congratulations on a job well done!
