The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Lufkin ISD’s financial management and reporting system. Lufkin ISD received a score of 100 out of 100 points.

A Texas Education Agency (TEA) update will change the enrollment process for dual language programs across the state.

Former Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees board member Andra Self was awarded the Community Service Award from the Concerned Black Men of Lufkin, Inc. at the 16th annual scholarship gala. 

“The virtual showcase is not only a celebration of CS Ed Week, but it will give students the opportunity to work on their presentation skills and hear from peers who also created apps, ” said Robbie Kuykendall,  GEAR UP coordinator.
