It’s a new day every day. We have events, we get kids where they need to be, help them to stop crying. I bond with these babies. Some kids, I’m the only one who can help them to stop crying. I just talk to them and love on them. Sometimes they need to talk or just need a hug.

Early release is on Friday, November 16, 2018. The district office will be closed at 1 p.m. on Friday.

The Evento en Español was an evening of fiesta and entertainment. Singing on the stage at Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium were the students from Slack Elementary and dancing were the Panther Pride students. It was a beautiful evening thanks to Elizabeth Lopez and the Nuestras Madres committee.

“To me, I have the best of both worlds. I love kids, and I love law enforcement. What better job is there?” she said.
