In a Public Hearing of the Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees, the 2020-2021 tax rate was approved for a total of $1.3241 per $100 valuation.
Trout Primary students “make their own mark” for International Dot Day
Today, September 15, is International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. Trout Primary students participated in the celebration by “making their own mark”.
7th SFASU STEM Academy inducts 31 Lufkin High School students
The 7th induction for the Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) STEM Academy was held at the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium honoring the 31 students who were selected through a rigorous academic process.
LMS Kleenex Box Project serves dual purpose
To start the school year off right, Lufkin Middle School Dual Language teacher Leticia Galindo instructed students on the Kleenex Box Project. This project was used as a creative way for the dual language students to get to know their classmates while using arts and crafts.
