Students at Anderson Elementary learned about Black History Month through different mediums of art. The hallway walls are covered with paintings, sketches and stories of famous African-American scholars and inventors. 

The Lufkin ISD PR team received three gold STAR awards at the Texas School Public Relations Association’s membership conference in Round Rock, Texas last week.

Lufkin High School Principal Andre Emmons, along with Associate Principal Harlan Neal and CTE Director Stephen Rhoades, kissed farm animals to help raise money for the Lufkin High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
