LHS student receives 1st place at Area SKILLS USA
At the event, students were given a set of blueprints representing a project with multiple aspects of home building (framing, finishing or roofing). After analyzing the blueprints, the students constructed an exact replica of the project.

Six LHS Students advance to State in FCCLA competition
Six Lufkin High School students are advancing to state competition in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). The regional FCCLA winners will advance to state competition April 5-7 in Dallas, Texas.

LHS student finishes LHS communication board Eagle Scout project
Senior at Lufkin High School, Aman Khan, needed a community project to finish up his qualifications for Eagle Scout, the highest recognition of the Boy Scouts of America. Khan wanted to make a difference at his high school so he designed, built and displayed a beautiful communication board for flyers and information in the main street hall in the high school.
