A partnership between Lufkin High School and Stephen F. Austin University has enabled more students to benefit from the Distinguished High School Program by earning the Academic Excellence Scholarship. This program guarantees admission to students in the top 30% of their class. Those in the top 10% are eligible for a $5,000 scholarship, while those in the 11th to 25th percentile with a GPA of 3.0 or higher can receive up to $3,000 per year. Both scholarships are renewable for up to four years, provided the recipients meet the same requirements each year.
Yesterday, Stephen F. Austin University honored students from the class of 2025 with $133,000 in Academic Excellence Scholarships. If these students continue to meet the requirements throughout their four years at the university, they could receive up to $532,000 to support their education. Austin ha permitido que más estudiantes se beneficien del Programa de Escuelas Secundarias Distinguidas al ganar la Beca de Excelencia Académica.
