Brookhollow Elementary students celebrated Black History Month by participating in an interactive Black History Camp. The camp included nine stations: PE, letter writing, technology, art, poetry, music, bingo, step dancing, community leader time. Many community speakers came to share stories with the students. Students were inspired by the following: Officer Gilbert Tinajero, Mrs Briggs, community leader; Terrence Mathis, LHS track coach; Dr. Andre Emmons, LHS principal; Dr. Monique Nunn, Gear-Up Director; Ashley Berry, community leader; JJ. Montgomery, Athletic Director at Angelina College; Ivory Ford, coach Fifth Quarter Performance.
