The Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2023-24 School Calendar at the board meeting tonight. The board was presented with two options and voted to accept Calendar A.
The calendar reduces teacher days from 187 to 182 with no reduction in pay, and student days reduced to 171. Calendar A also includes a full week fall break in October. The approved calendar is below:
