Lufkin ISD will once again implement the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for School Year 2022-2023. In CEP schools, Free and Reduced Meal Applications are no longer required.

Schools that participate in CEP provide healthy breakfasts and lunches each day at no charge for ALL students enrolled in that CEP school during the 2022-2023 School Year.

“COVID waivers have now expired and several area districts have to go back to Free and Reduced Meal Applications and charging for meals. We are fortunate that we can continue to offer nutritious meals for our kiddos at no charge,” said Amanda Calk, Student Nutrition Services Director.
