The Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees met tonight at the February board meeting and named the Multi-Purpose Facility the Panther Activity Center. The Multi-Purpose Facility was part of the $75 million bond project that was passed in 2018 that included the new middle school and softball/baseball fields. Board members and Lufkin High School coaches had input on the new name and liked the idea of the shortened version “PAC” for the Panther Activity Center.
