Representatives from the Lufkin United Against Violence committee were present at the Friday night football game to show a united front against violence in our city.

The group’s mission statement is “United We Stand.” At the football game, they encouraged everyone to stand to show solidarity against violence.

Lufkin United Against Violence would like to invite all to a week of festivities that kick off tonight with a revival at Louis Bronaugh Park. There will be speakers and singing at the park Monday through Friday starting at 7 each night.

The festivities will conclude Saturday, Nov. 6th with a community picnic at the park from 4 to 6 p.m. Please join them for food, fun, games and prizes for the whole family.

We are united, everyone is invited.
