Rosario Cuello, 8th grader at Lufkin Middle School, entered a drawing at Huntington State Bank for each A she made in her classes. Her name was selected as the winner of a $500 savings account, and Stacey Willmann, Marketing Director at Huntington State Bank, came to the middle school to award her the prize. According to the Huntington State Bank website, the bank has awarded $60,000+ in Savings Accounts to students in our area since the program began in 2002.
Students in grades first through 12th from any school district, are eligible to register their report card A’s for a chance to win. There are two drawings, one in the first semester and one in the second. Thank you, Huntington State Bank, for honoring students for their academic success.
