The Herty Primary Young Athletes Program is a part of Special Olympics for the children with special needs at Herty Primary. The children participate in activities such as an obstacle course, basketball, bowling, crawling and music and movement. This year’s volunteers from Lufkin First Baptist, the students from Lufkin Middle School 7th and 8th grades, the employees from the Division of Instruction and staff at Herty Primary made the event possible.
