Congratulations to Ramona Mitchell!
Ramona Mitchell, nurse at Brookhollow Elementary, received the Lufkin ISD Purple Heart of Excellence Award for December. The award is given monthly to a nurse who has demonstrated extraordinary care of students, detailed records, problem-solving skills among other life-saving skills.
Mrs. Jan Fulbright, director of nursing, said, “Ramona is a great nurse. She never complains no matter what she is asked to do. Recently, we participated in the Lufkin Christmas parade for the first time. Ramona volunteered to host the float, decorating it at her home during our Thanksgiving break.”
Ms. Mitchell is in her second year as a nurse at Brookhollow Elementary.
