Parents, siblings and grandparents, co-workers, best friends and babysitters all came out to show their support for the competitors of the Run of the Panthers. The fourth annual Run of the Panthers is a fun-filled race for kindergarten through 5th grade students to compete in the one mile. The students run across a field and through a wooded area and back around to the finish line. Some kids were missing shoes or would fall and pop right back up along the way. The Run of the Panthers is a celebration of a healthy dose of competition between primary and elementary campuses. Huge thanks to Woodland Heights Medical Center for providing a t-shirt to each child and for Brookshire Brothers for providing snacks and water. Jerri Kay Boyd, Rusty Stover, the LHS Cross Country team, LISD Technology Department, Angelina College students, LHS coaches, Abby McCarty and her students, campus teachers, LHS Cheer, Dr. LaTonya Goffney, Kyle Swift and everyone who participated did a great job making this year one of the best. We also appreciate the support of our amazing sideline fans who cheer our students on in and out of the classroom. Thank you.
