Lufkin Middle School hosted a Touch-A-Truck event today where students had the opportunity to interact closely with a variety of vehicles ranging from a towering fire truck to sleek patrol cars, a SWAT vehicle, an ambulance and even a helicopter. The drivers/pilots were on hand to provide insight into the workings of each vehicle and to answer questions. The students got to climb aboard their favorite vehicles, honking horns, flashing lights and operating some controls under supervision. They were also able to meet our Angelina County Sheriff Tom Selman.
