Hall Henderson was appointed to the LISD Board of Trustees in March of 2017. Henderson is a proud 2004 graduate of Lufkin High School. After graduation, Henderson continued his education by obtaining degrees from Angelina College, Stephen F. Austin State University, and Texas A&M University. Henderson is the President of Fortis Title Group which owns and operates six title companies throughout the East Texas area. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Rebecca McIlveene Henderson. They are members of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church where Hall serves as a deacon and trustee and Rebecca serves as Director of the WeeCare program. Hall and Rebecca have two sons, George and Charlie, that are in the Dual Language program and love the Panthers. Hall currently serves as the Board President for East Texas Behavioral Resources, coaches youth baseball and basketball, and is an active member of the Lufkin Hosts Lions Club.

Kristi Gay was appointed to the Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees in June 2016. Kristi is a 1981 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She works as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at BancorpSouth. Kristi serves on the boards of the Lufkin ISD Education Foundation and Angelina Thrive. Kristi is married to Ricky Gay, who is a 1978 graduate of Lufkin High School and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. He works as a forest manager for Acorn Forestry. They are members of Denman Avenue Baptist Church where Kristi serves on the Finance Committee. Kristi and Ricky have three children, Kendall and Bailey, who are graduates of Texas A&M University, and Wyatt, who is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. All three children attended Lufkin ISD schools from kindergarten through high school graduation. Kristi and Ricky are passionate about music education and served 15 years in the Lufkin Band Booster organization while their children attended Lufkin ISD schools.

Allyson Treadway Langston was elected to the Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees in 2013. A mother of three children, ages 10, 16, and 20, Allyson and her family have lived in Lufkin for 25 years. The daughter of native Texans, Allyson graduated from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Illinois, in 1990. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in 1994. In 1997, she earned her Master of Arts in English at Stephen F. Austin State University. In 2000, she completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Stephen F. Austin State University. Her career in education includes teaching students in grades 5th through 12th, as well as teaching English at Stephen F. Austin. Allyson served as Assistant Head of School at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School. Allyson joined the Junior League of Lufkin in 1998 and served as President, VP Community Projects, VP Communications, and more during her active years. She has also served on the boards of Project Celebration; Garrett, Dunbar, and Anderson PTK; Lufkin Middle School PTS; First Christian Preschool; the Museum of East Texas; and the Adoption Center of East Texas. She is currently a board member of the Lufkin Education Foundation, Vice-Chairman of Trustees at First Baptist Church, and President of the Junior League of Lufkin Sustainers. She and her family attend First Baptist Church in Lufkin. Allyson is married to Kevin Langston, a 1989 LHS graduate, and their children are proud Lufkin Panthers as well as a Baylor Bear who graduated from LHS in 2020.

Matt Knight was elected to the Board in May of 2018. He is a graduate of Hallsville (Texas) High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his Masters in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. He brings 15 years of experience working in public education as a teacher, coach and administrator. Knight is an associate at The Advanced Financial Group in Lufkin. He currently serves on the Boys and Girls Club of Lufkin Advisory Board, the Angelina County Chamber Leadership Tomorrow Committee, the Lufkin Youth Baseball Board, and is active coaching youth sports. He is a member of the Lufkin Host Lions Club, the Angelina County A&M Club, the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association, and is a graduate of Leadership Lufkin. Matt’s wife, Brandie, is the Success Coach at Lufkin High School. They have three children, Cooper (LHS Class of ’24), Avery (’32) and Landry (’33). The Knights are members of Lufkin First United Methodist Church.

A Lufkin ISD board member since 1996. She received Master Trustee designation through Leadership TASB and was LISD Board President when that board was honored as TASA Outstanding School Board of the Year. Andra served 6 years as Region VII Director, testified before the Senate public education hearing on behalf of public schools, and served as chair of the TASB Legislative Committee. Andra was recently elected as a President of the Texas Association of School Boards.
Her numerous civic activities included service on the boards for 4 B Economic Development Corporation (4 B) Angelina County Health District, Hospice in the Pines, and Boys and Girls Club of East Texas, and involvement in Leadership Lufkin, United Way, Junior Achievement, Junior League of East Texas, the Mayor’s Task Force on Rehabilitation, and the LISD Better School Task Force. Other honors include the Silver Spike Award for Community Service presented by the Chamber, graduation from Leadership Lufkin, and appearing on the cover of The Journey magazine. She has been active in community service organizations such as Top Ladies of Distinction, holding various offices for the Lufkin chapter and receiving several TLOD community service awards. Andra is the Clinical Services Director for the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. She also completed 29 years of service at Memorial Health System and was the Director of Rehabilitation Services.(inpatient and outpatient services. Andra is a graduate of Lufkin High School. She earned a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Houston and is also a registered medical technologist through St. Joseph’s School of Medical Technology. Andra holds two master’s degrees (in education and in business administration) from Stephen F. Austin University. Andra is married to Kenneth Self, Director of Woodland Crossing, Lufkin State Supported Living Center. They have two children, Jonathan (business major) and Tiffany (ECH teacher in Denton, Texas).

Scott Skelton was elected to the Lufkin ISD Board of Trustees in 2012. Skelton is a 1985 graduate of Denison (Texas) High School, a 1989 Graduate of Abilene Christian University, and a 1992 graduate of Baylor University School of Law. Skelton is a partner in the Skelton Slusher Barnhill Watkins Wells PLLC where he has practiced law for 29 years and is an owner in Community Title Company. Skelton presently serves as Chair of the Government Relations Committee for both the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and the Lufkin/Angelina County Economic Development Partnership and is an Executive Board Member of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce. He had also served on the United Way Board for Lufkin and Angelina County and is past President of United Way. Skelton coached soccer for many years at the recreational and club levels. Skelton is married to Sheila Todd Skelton, who is an Instructional Coach at Brandon Elementary. Scott and Sheila have two daughters, Dr. Lauren Skelton Ford, who is Pediatric Resident at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and Allison who attending Abilene Christian University and is obtaining a degree in Speech Pathology. Both girls attended LISD schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.
