2019 AP Scholars Announced
Lufkin High School had a total of 52 AP Scholars with an average score of 3.24. Five of the Lufkin High School AP tests resulted in scores higher than the Global average mean score.

Administrators from both Lufkin ISD and Angelina College posed for a picture in front of the new Angelina College sign that is now on the LHS campus. The sign represents that Lufkin High School has been designated as an instructional site for Angelina College.

Hackney Honeybees are Hungry for Learning!
Lufkin ISD’s youngest students are on the campus of Hackney Primary, home of the Honeybees. The students are already figuring everything out including opening their milk cartons at lunch. The students are anxious to explore and hungry to learn.

Anderson Eagles PE class goes digital
Before Anderson Elementary’s PE class went digital, they were counting laps the students ran around the track with popsicle sticks. Now students grade third through fifth, flash a QR code as they cross the finish line to get credit for the laps they’ve ran or walked.
