Lufkin ISD Transportation Update
This afternoon, Lufkin ISD Bus #112 was involved in a very minor accident. We are relieved to report that all students on board are safe, with no injuries.
Emergency personnel and district staff responded promptly to the scene. EMS is currently on the bus conducting final checks on the remaining students to ensure their well-being. All parents have been contacted by the Transportation Department.
Students are being released to parents at the site; however, we strongly advise parents to remain at home and not come to the scene, as it may cause unnecessary congestion and delay the release process.
The safety of our students is always our top priority. We sincerely appreciate the swift and professional response of our transportation team and first responders.
