Important Information

This is a reminder regarding the use of Lufkin ISD facilities by any individuals, groups, or organizations outside of the district.

All outside groups are required to complete a Facility Use Request Form at least one week in advance of their intended event date. While we understand that last-minute situations may occur, no outside organization or individual may be told they can use any district facility until the form has been submitted and approved.

Please note that outside organizations are not permitted on school premises during school operating hours. If there is a unique situation that requires an outside individual or group to be on school property during operating hours, it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In those instances, strict protocols must be followed to align with district safety standards, including background checks and coordination with Human Resources.

Additionally, teachers, coaches, and staff members are not authorized to approve or grant use of any Lufkin ISD facility under any circumstances. All approvals must go through the official district process and be confirmed in writing.

These procedures are in place to ensure student safety, proper supervision, and compliance with district policies. They also allow time to coordinate custodial, maintenance, and security needs, and to verify insurance and fee requirements.

Any outside organizations including booster clubs, youth leagues, or community groups must follow this process before using any Lufkin ISD facility.

If you are contacted by anyone outside of the district requesting facility use, please direct them to the Facility Use Request Form or have them contact the Business Office for assistance. Do not make verbal commitments or grant access until approval is confirmed.

Facility Rentals

If you are hosting an event and in need of a facility, we hope you’ll consider the facilities offered by Lufkin ISD. The Lufkin Middle School Auditorium, which seats a little more than 1,000 guests, is available for rental along with some of our cafeterias and athletic fields/gyms.
