It was a beautiful day for a playground unveiling. After a week of cold rain, students at Kurth Primary were able to climb and play and personally thank the donors of their new play facility.

Second grader Jonah Smith recited a poem and Lillian Holcombe read a letter to thank the people who made it possible for the children to have new playground equipment. In the audience stood Lufkin ISD Administration, employees from Pilgrims Lufkin and philanthropist and CEO of My Pillow Michael Lindell.

Kurth Primary would also like to thank the contribution from the Z&OO Railroad. Those who were recognized were donors who gave more than $5,000 to the playground equipment and installation.

Minutes after the plaques were received and photos taken, the students raced to the top and took full advantage of their new playground.
