Four Lufkin High School seniors were selected to receive a scholarship from Lufkin ISD for their artistic talent. Briana Cruz, Parker Winthrop, Tyler Drapela, and Samantha Saenz submitted pieces of artwork winning a scholarship and the honor of permanently displaying their art pieces in the downtown Lufkin ISD Administration Building. The scholarship was established in 2010 to support the arts. The students wrote a description of the piece and described their future plans to use art as either a major in college or as a hobby, This is the third year for the scholarship to include digital pieces. Congratulations to these talented young artists!
