The Dyslexia students at Lufkin ISD participated in “The Gift of Creativity” showcase displaying 100 pieces of artwork at the Museum of East Texas.  Approximately 200 people attended the showcase that was held at the museum on Sunday afternoon. The artwork will remain on display until October 13th. The district has 400 students identified as dyslexic.

Alys Ray, District Dyslexia Coordinator, said, “We were absolutely AMAZED at the turnout. We feel like we need to make it a yearly event.  We heard so many positive comments and the kids LOVED it!! All in all, it was a HUGE success!”
