April Ritter is the LISD Health Services Purple Heart of Excellence Award winner for the month of April! She has been a Registered Nurse for 12 years and happy to be the RN at Slack Elementary, her childhood elementary school.
She is the proud mom of Haylee Ritter, an LHS junior and Panther Pride member. April feels very blessed to work for Lufkin ISD and care for all the Slack students.
Director Jan Fulbright selected April Ritter this month because of her positive and compassionate attitude.
Jan shared, “April is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her job. We are very fortunate to have her on our team!”
The award is given monthly to a nurse who has demonstrated extraordinary care of students, detailed records, problem-solving skills among other life-saving skills.
