Lufkin High School Freshman mascot, Bella Aldred, known as “Prissy the Panther” won third place in the National Cheerleaders Association State-of-Texas Mascot Championship, which was held in Dallas on December 9th. In a stacked field of nineteen high school mascots, she did exceptionally well for her creative skit. This is the first time in Lufkin High School history that a mascot has competed at this level.

Head cheerleading coach, Kirstie Russell, said, “We are so proud of Bella for her hard work and incredible performance!”
