Georgia-Pacific has a vested interest in students graduating with quality skills who can enter the workforce. It is with that goal in mind, that Georgia-Pacific supports the Lufkin ISD Career Technical Education (CTE) program. Recently, the company donated $5,000 to help cover expenses for students to compete in the SKILLS USA program where students like Dakota Stockman brought home the national championship in welding. They will also install a 70-inch TV that will have information on it about Georgia-Pacific and the jobs they are offering.
