The Stephen F. Austin State University STEM Academy inducted 31 students at the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium on Monday evening. These students will experience a rigorous curriculum with STEM activities and labs on the SFA campus. This is the fifth year for Lufkin ISD to collaborate with SFA on the STEM Academy. The students had to fill out an application, essay and interview to be considered for the academy. Mrs. Suzy Jungmann is the STEM coordinator at Lufkin High School and will act as a liaison between the college and high school.
