Guest Speaker, Rev. Valencia Edner is an ordained elder in full connection with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She has served as Associate Pastor at Long Chapel CME in Lufkin, Texas and Pastor of Collins Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Lufkin, the Historic Mt. Zion Christian.
Pastor Edner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Theatre from Wayne State University, a Master of Science in English from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master of Arts in Theology from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She is currently studying toward certification as a Clinical Pastoral Specialist. She was bi-vocationally employed as a full-time Instructor of English at Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas for 14 years, and she currently remains an Adjunct Instructor. Pastor Edner is contributing author of a self-help inspirational book, Crossing the Threshold: Opening The Door To Successful Relationships.
