This past November, students from Lufkin High School Thespian Troupe 944 had the opportunity to go to the Texas Thespian Festival in Grapevine, Texas. At the festival, high school students from all over the state were able to compete in different Individual Events and audition for colleges.  Four students scored superior ratings on their Individual Events, which allowed them to qualify for competition at The International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska. Emma Carlile (10) singing “All Falls Down” from Chaplin: The Musical, Alex Hill (11) singing “Neverland” from Finding Neverland, and Lena Tate (11) singing “I’m Not Afraid of Anything” from Songs for a New World all qualified in the Solo Musical category; Raegan Haggard (11) was the first ever LHS Theatre technician to qualify for Nationals with her costume designs for Singin’ in the Rain
